The landscape is reminiscent of Scandinavia and the strong Norwegian heritage of the area influenced the design and decor of Stein Vatten. Hand-crafted by the owners and local artisans, rustic elegance and elements of traditional Scandinavian design have been incorporated throughout.

It has direct access to some of the best fly fishing trout streams in the U.S. and the area offers many other activities. Take in festivals and tours, go antiquing, visit museums, unique shops and arts and craft studios, attend musical events or participate in many of the sporting activities the area provides. We have found that most of our guests take advantage of this restful place to simply relax in the beautiful cottage and its surrounding.
